On Saturday 1/19, Sixteen teams competed at The 57th Jim Mooney Classic. On top of great wrestling all day, there was a 20th anniversary celebration for the 1999 State Championship team with legendary coach Jim Mooney in attendance. Overall, it was a great day of wrestling! Williamston had seven wrestlers place,
1st Place: Ryker Johnecheck- 112 lbs
2nd Place: Greg Dion-103 lbs, Zach Painter-215 lbs
3rd Place: Calvin Kittendorf- 119 lbs , Luke Mahaney- 130 lbs
4th Place: Jared Bloom- 135 lbs
5th Place: Max McCutcheon- 152 lbs
The team as a whole had a great day and finish 4th in team points with 127, only 1.5 points behind 3rd place Southgate Anderson. Full results can be seen on Trackwrestling here.
